          Rome Beauty Apple Festival 2024

VFW Post 6878 had a booth at the festival this year. This was the 2nd year it's been happening.  It lasted for 2 days starting at 10 am and lasting until 6 pm each day. There were a lot of things happening inside the Beulah Baptist Church and outside.  It was a great festival and a good time!  For more information folks can visit their website at https://romebeautyapplefestival.square.site

VFW Post 6878 Donates to the Daughters of the American Revolution for an Outdoor Shelter for Veterans

VFW Post 6878 Quartermaster Gerald Bloss was invited by the National Society Daughters of the Revolution WV State Society Western District to the dedication of a outdoor shelter for the West Virginia Veterans Home in Bargoursville, WV.  It was a project that was six years in the making.  DAR (for the Veterans Home) received a donation from the post that went for the concrete foundation of the shelter.  In gratitude, they invited Gerald to give him a certificate of appreciation and to the lunch that followed. We wanted to simply get photos of the event, but it turned into a video with many photos.  It includes Gerald receiving his certificate of appreciation.  In the video are the Sons of the American Revolution presenting their colors.
